As our next recital will be in the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday, a specially composed work “One in valour, one in sacrifice” will be performed in thanksgiving of the Canadian Expeditionary Force.
We have a poignant connection to this Force in that a previous vicar of St Andrew’s church had a son who served with the CEF. Charles Talbot Baker was a Lieutenant in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (49th Battalion), and died 29 September 1918, in France.
The programme will conclude with a medley of 2nd World War tunes. Everyone welcome!
